I could still remember that very day….It was the 19th of November 2007, as I drove through the pathway that led to the College my heart was pumping and beating the fastest I could ever imagine…Obviously there was a thousand and one feelings that ran through my mind...man…cold sweat ran down my cheeks and through the back of my neck. That was how I felt the very first day I reported for duty here in MMC. I guess working life would be different from previous life….i mean my student life before coming here…..its not that I’ve been through incarnation….Well, I figured out if I were and can actually incarnate…I’d choose to be something useful and without feelings…..hmmm…what can I be? This came into my mind when I was watching the repeated seasons of Friends on Starworld last night when Chandler actually wanted to become a toilet brush in his next life…hell yeah what the hell for?
Back to the story…well I sure will miss my student life before coming to work…university life is the best time….seriously you’ve got to believe me!....Well, I’m going to miss classes, friends, weekly gigs around KL and home games with my SFC.com gang in Shah Alam…oh well, people go through changes right? And here I am, willing to make a change and improve myself even more than before….
Oh well, I’ve been here for almost a year….almost 10 months to precise…..I drew a dozen impressions from my colleagues….like…..”It’s only his second week, just wait until he warms up!” and “Hello brother, why are you so rigid?.....well…look at me now…not the one I was during the first two weeks…….creepy enough for me….but I’m enjoying myself…especially with the help I get from my colleagues around me and with coaching the Kakom football team to Kuala Pilah…yeah…life is good here.
This is totally an unexpected feeling in me….especially reflecting back to those early days of my university life. A famous quote from me…..” I don’t think I want to be a lecturer or a teacher….I don’t think I have the passion to actually do that!.”. There you go my friend…the educators instinct has kicked in!
